Barcelona I - Gaudi's the MAN!

Its now 3.06 am. I've been getting this a lot lately, been thinking too much of late about everything and anything under the sky so nowadays I keep myself busy doing stuff till I get a headache so that I can finally sleep without tossing and turning in bed.


Therefore I've decided the most fun way to get a headache is to update my blog. I know ironic. HAHA!


Its a post I've been putting of for waaaaay too long! Only coz its THE MOST FUNTASTIC place I've ever been to. I love bustling places with things to see & do with interesting people to meet! That's why one of my favourite places are visiting cities. And Barcelona, capital of Spain, for me, was my absolute top favourite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Therefore ..

I'M GONNA BLOG ABOUT ALL OF IT!

First off, I'm gonna educate you about Antonio Gaudi.

If this guy was alive now, he should get some sort of fuckin architecture nobel prize. If there is one. Hell yeah they should even invent that nobel prize just for him.

His buildings are out of this world. It really makes you wonder what the hell goes through that brilliant mind of his to come out with structures that he turns into art! He's a prominant figure in Barcelona and without him, Barcelona would be nothing like what it is today.


I was in charge of planning the Barcelona trip, and I've heard about him even way before we went there so I went crazy plotting all the Gaudi work we absolutely MUST VISIT.

Tubes were the main way we travelled around. Super cheap and convenient! I think it only costed us about 15euros each for 3 days worth of unlimited travel ^^

This was our very first Gaudi tourist stop!

I am glad to say, at the tender loving age of 22 18, I have fulfilled one of my life's dream that is to see the Sagrada Familia, the unfinished church *sniffles*

The poor guy died before he could actually finish the thing bcoz he was SO FUSSY about the design of this church. He kept modifying it and trying to perfect the architecture. And it didn't help that he was knocked over by a car which lead to his death. Ironically, he was scared of cars for this very same reason.


This amazing church is said to be completed in the year 2030. I will definitely be back to see it again!!

(P/S: The KFC opposite this place is THE MOST delicious chicken ever! Its true that KFC is every country somehow taste different and all of us on this trip hereby swear on all the lives of the chickens that now exist on this planet that Barcelona has the best KFC)


By now, everyone calls me the Gaudi expert coz they can see how enthusiastic I am about his design.

HAHA.

Again, how ironic as you will see later.

We travelled again to a different Gaudi tourist spot that is rated a no.2 must afterthe Sagrada Familia. This place is called the Casa Balto.

As we got of the train station, I smugly pointed out, "Oh Look! There it is!"

Me: "That's definitely Gaudi! Look at the eccentric architecture! " (I sound like some PHD historian)

True, the architecture was brilliant!

I even manage to cheat these people into taking a photo with Gaudi's artwork.

Mana tahu.

When we walked a few more blocks down there was a signboard pointing to Gaudi's "REAL" work - The Casa Balto. *sheepish*

Another one that I really love is visiting Gaudi's Park, called Parc Guella.
And it was such a terribly hot day that day in Barcelona, poor Suwen's fever got even worst that day :(

Amazing ne? These borders overrun throughout the whole park.

I photoshopped my lip colour so it looks a bit weird. Wanted to see how I'd look like with nude lip colour. The conclusion is that I look like the zombies I always shoot in LeftforDead (omg if u haven't started getting hooked on this game START NOW. Call all ur mates!!).

But my purple contacts are real! The first time I wore them everyone was freaked out. Then strangely enough everyone got used to them and even said I looked nice in purple contacts.

Then I proceed to take out one contact then everyone starts screaming coz I have one black eye and one purple eye.

Possessed!!!

HUUaAAARRGGH!! Enough of pretending to be chio camwhoring!!

I heart the Eiffel Tower

I want to show off my room. This is really the 1st time I've put in so much effort into a rented place!! Just felt that I didn't want to be surrounded by dull white walls so I went a little crazy this year just buying stuff and sticking 'em everywhere .

There was one period where I was stuck at home for two whole days. I made a joke with suwen saying I've started to call the wall in front of my laptop 'Kimberly'. fml.

There is actually a basketball ring on the opposite wall but I totally forgot to take a photo of it before I uploaded everything unto my laptop.

Its pretty fun to watch your favourite bloggers interviewed and talking in real life (yeah, after only reading their blogs one kinda creates an imaginary voice for them. LOL! )


Getting personal with Kennysia was hilarious. He's the kind of guy whose up for anything @&$&!^#!!!!!!!

But probly the blogger I could relate to the most is Aud from fourfeetnine. Coz she is a girly girl just like me.wtf.

Ok I hope every girl has clothes pilling from two weeks hanging behind their door. What to do! wear once only its a waste to constantly keep washing everything!

I can especially relate to that fear of exercise.



Watching her unable to do Yoga was strangely comforting bcoz it meant I wasn't the only girl who had trouble getting off the couch.

How I spend 90% of my free time.
