Day 3 - Singapore Zoo

This post is gonna be so long it deserves a post on its own for Day 3 in Singapore! We went to visit the Singapore Zoo - it was really worth it as school holiday promotions were only rm16 for Malaysians as long as you flash your passport. Normal price was S$16!!!!

It is to TAI. I am so aunty.

But anyways, one of my favourite places to go is always the Zoo. I naturally love most animals I guess, especially those with fur. Mel drove down to the Zoo that day and it was great to give our tired feet a well deserve rest.

Ohmygawd, like marry now, near the alligators, the smelly wildboar, and the noisy parrot. It is my dream wedding. (I am being scarcastic)

Singapore Zoo is damn organised and surprisingly shady. We could hardly feel the heat of the afternoon sun because of the numerous trees. My housemate told me she went for a picnic there the last time she went. I wish we could have done that!

We were rushing to make it in time for the 2.30 Spalsh! Show. The crowd was huge & smelly. There was this annoying family with like 20 children all clamouring on the stage despite being told numerous times by the zookeepers to step down. It kept interrupting the show, so annoying!!!!!!!

But soooooooooo cute loh the Splash show!!! Got penguins and Manatees swimming in the pool. But they were in the water for only a short while coz the main attraction was the adorable seal!!!

Later we went off to see the monkeys. I hate monkeys despite them having fur. There's something eerie about their facial expressions that really freaks me out especially chimpanzees.

Found out something interesting: When female monkeys are in heat, the bigger and redder the lump at the butt grows. So the more ready for mating she is, the redder and bigger baby. Ms.U wears *cough*redunderwear*cough*....

The zoo also had this section called the Great Australian Outback. All the normal cliche aussie stuff like Kangaroos, Emus, Trekking cars, boomerangs, etc.

While walking back to the zoo entrance, we stumbled upon the beautiful Orchid Park.

Later we went to watch the Polar Bear feeding. Did you know polar bears love to eat watermelons as snacks? So adorable to see this 400kg beasts jump into the water just to eat a watermelon. lol! Su wen might do the same too for watermelons. ^^

It started raining heavily on our way back to the entrance of the Zoo. But I saw a Ben& Jerry and had to tried it!!!! I heard so much about it that it was super good and its not available in Malaysia.

Day 2 - Singapore Trip

Woke up for an early start the next day to drive down to Singapore.

Mel's aunty brought us for a delicious breakfast in Johor before we left for Singapore.

Since we girls weren't driving we did what we do best in the backseat - camwhoring!!

In Singapore, we stayed over at Mel's uncle's place (who is single, 38, prefers young chinese male. KIDDDING!!!! but he is single and 38 :P)
The condo is HUGE and soooooooooooooo beautiful!! The architecture is fabulous!!!

This place is filled with ang mohs. There were hardly any locals around. When we went for a dip in the pool, we could hear English speaking, French speaking and Spanish speaking ang mohs.

Ok, enough about Duchess Crest. I am making it seem like it is the only place worth visiting in Singapore.

In Singapore we didn't really drive a lot despite having a car. Mr. Lee Kuan Yew hated cars and traffic very much and preferred to make every human with legs walk in Singapore as much as possible. He does it by making tols and car parks very very expensive - and chinese people hate to spend too much money. LOL!!!


But our poor legs. I think we easily walked an average of 8km per day. Running after busses and MRT's as well as doing our shopping.

But first off in Singapore we went to visit Orchard Road! All we did in Orchard Road was shopped and went sightseeing so they aren't many spectacular shots.

Lunch break at Takashimaya food court!! A lot of choice there. I notice that singapore food courts are like.. forever crowded. It was sooo difficult to look for an empty table between the mass of hungry humans.

For dinner we had KFC cheesy fries and Taco Bell that are not available in Malaysia. I looked damn fugly while eating the Taco so there are no pics of me.

We all reached back home to Duchess Crest ( I know, I love saying the name) and Tracy gave the best damn back massage to the boys. She stood on them individually and kneaded their bony backs with her feet.

At least that's what I told her to do but she preferred using her hands instead. Our first night in Duchess Crest!

Day 1 - Singapore Trip

I just came back from SINGAPORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


We were all influenced by Melvyn. We all love Singapore very very much!! I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually miss Singapore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured it would be easier to divide my Singapore post into days, since the trip was short anyways. Mel was our tour guide throughout the whole trip since he knew his beloved Singapore the best. So Mel, please correct me if I lable anything wrong ya..


We drove down to Johor first in Mel's INNOVA from KL to stay overnight at his aunty's place. Mel & Zhen took turns driving,and it took about a total of 5 hours (coz we got lost along the way to Johor).

Later, we stopped at this bus pit-stop on the way down to Johor. Took some shots since the highways scenery was pretty nice.

Remember I said we got lost?? We only had dinner around 9pm, or was it 10? We were all super hungry by then!! Mel brought us to this hawker food store that serves the er......can't remember the noodle's name but apparently very very famous in Johor.

Otak-otak there is damn nice. It was my first time eating otak-otak served hot.

Mel's aunty came to pick us up and belanja us the whole meal. She bought the whole tray of otak-otak when each of us had only taken one each. We went "AUNTY!! We can't possibly finish all that!!"

Aunty: Never mind la, you cannot finish also I can eat finish the whole thing la!

LOL!! She is so damn funny!
