There were 2 types of boats for hire. One was the 'chaperone' one, and another one was the 'self-service' one.
We all picked self-service as it seemed more fun. But even the self-service ones had various types, one was rowing, paddling (with feet) , and punting.
Therefore, there was division in our group for the first time that day.
Let me introduce you to Group A:
Group A chose paddling. Group A also has a great resume. Within the gay couple, one guy goes to the gym daily, the other one is a fisherman who has been steering boats for years. The female there is merely an accessory to sit and look pretty for photography purposes.
Life was, admittedly, good. It fact, it was a peach, what better way to go through the Oxford canal with ease :)
But then, I give you Group B:
Group B consist of 3 females who have barely exercised in the past 3 months. Especially for the birthday girl, the most strenous exercise she's probably ever done in the past 3 months was walking up the stairs to her room.
There was also a male, who upon land was but your everyday average looking Joe......until he stepped on the boat. He miraculously became God's gift to women, and the girls on board swoon at his awsome handsome-ness. He was stunning.
The back of the awsomely handsomest man on board. Yes, I know he is the only man on board :P
Group B wanted to try 'punting' coz its very Venice-inspired.
Haha. Big mistake.
Group B had haggard looking faces throughout the photos. Co-ordination also became a problem between everyone.
We wanted to give punting a shot so we took turns with Mel!
Unfortunately, as stated before, co-ordination wasn't goood. Our favourite mistake was to head straight for the trees nearby the banks.
Sam trying to steer desperately from the banks but ended up using the oar to push us away. HAHAHAAHAH!
As well as trying to hit other boats...
OOOooooppppsss!!
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
But despite all the trouble, I'm glad I tried out punting!! Its uber fun!! My arms ache like shit the next few days but its soooo fuuuunn~~~~~!
Me trying to avoid the bridge! I was distraught at first trying to figure out how to avoid the stupid bridge!
Spotted new ducklings nearby the canal..... Spring is in the air yo!
All of us pointing excitedly at something. But for some reason all four of us couldn't remember what after looking at this photo..... huh????!!
In the end, us girls got tired of boating, so we left all the punting to Mel in the end :P As encouragement, 3 girls chanted 'Handsome guy!" to Mel some parts of the way.
Play the video! Fuckin funny!
After all that strenous exercise, we headed over to Jamie Oliver's Kitchen for dinner. ZOMG. I've finally eaten at the kitchen of the famous Jamie Oliver!
Because of graduation night, we had to wait 1 hour and 30mins for our meal T_T
My man-accessory. Their the latest fad going around.
Why does Meng look so angry at the photographer?
My crab pasta which was fantabulous. Left me speechless for real.
Mackeral which was alrite.
Truffle pasta. Can you believe that those two black dots on the pasta is the truffle? Such a measely amount!! WTF!! Can hardly taste it, but the pasta itself was fantastic and buttery. It just melts wonderfully on your tongue.....*salivates*
Delicious tiramisu!!
Thanks everyone for a lovely time at Oxford *hugs!!!!!!!!!!*
I'll miss everyone when its time to part - wtf, I'm having a sudden emo moment.
OH GOD A FLY JUST FLEW INTO MY ROOM.
ciao.
