Bon Odori 2010 (& a revival post!)

Yep I've been dead for a whole month thanks to that bloody exam called CLP (Certificate in Legal Practice) . It is easily Malaysia's Most Stupidest Exam not because its so easy, but because its ridiculously complicated and unnecessary. But, I shall spare you the details and rant about that next time.

I thought the nicest entry to end my blog-fast would be to write on Bon Odori 2010, held at Shah Alam Stadium. To be honest I went to it one day before my exams but fuck it, was just waaay to sick of looking at piles and piles of books!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, all photos have been edited using Photoscape (click link to get download), and its a great programme for you photoshop noobs out there to chio-ify your shitty photos to look like its been taken by DSLR.

There was this girl who was Yokoso!Japan!'s spokesperson, and every single person was queuing up to take a picture with her like she was some sort of celebrity!!!

(ESPECIALLY THE MEN. Aheeeeem.. *clears throat*)

Then later, there was this whole swarm who squeezed into the photo and we all burst out laughing. LOL!!! (note again the majority of men ;) )

Overall although Bon Odori is quite an experience, its something I wouldn't go to again. Its nice and all to get to experience a tiny wee bit of cheat wan Japanese culture but then you get stores like Jusco, Isetan, Sakae Sushi, and Sushi King there, its like the same stuff you get in shopping malls anyways!!

So good to get back to blogging!!

Blogging Hiatus

Coz damn exams are around. No more updates until end of JULY! >_<

Fuck exams. I swear this is the hardest paper I'll ever sit for in my entire life =___=

Polaroid!!!

I'm madly in ♥ with Polaroid pics.

Suwen was just saying, now that we have digital cameras its really weird how we're all going backwards loving everything old & vintage like flash polaroid cameras!!

But you see that's the fun of it!! You kinda miss the anticipation of how your pics will turn out!!

I love the feeling of seeing the pics starting out fuzzy then watch it slowly emerge from out of blank paper. I still have no idea how a polaroid works. @_@


In addition, polaroid cameras nowadays have super duper cute printed borders and come in awesome fun colours!!!!!

These in particular are from Fujifilm from Korea.

Been trying to look for really cute polaroid cameras but unfortunately I think not many companies have bothered manufacturing them :( The others out in the market now are FUGLY MAX.

Regina was the one who started my whole craze

These are really expensive back in Malaysia and there aren't much choices around either. So she stocks up everytime her friend goes to HK and gets them to help her buy one.

Tiao, not cheap lo these cartridges. I asked her how much would one cost, apparently its about RM10 for 10 pieces of Polaroid film @_@.

But I still want a Polaroid cam :(

Wigs!!

So after Cheesie had been ranting on about them and how great they are, JoJo, Lauren & I decided to head down to give wigs a try at a store in Bangsar..

And I must say, I think I've been converted. I'm really thinking of buying one one day!!

Its so flexible and easy, I've always found in irritating to get the right sort of curls. You know what I mean, those super bouncy ones that all the celebs have but you'll never get. FOL.

Then with wigs, its like instant fabulous hair!!! VIOLA!!!

Tried a sort of copper brown. Yes my eyebrows look weird coz photshopped them uglily. Somehow black eyebrows just look weird with copper brown hair for some odd reason!!

Ok fine, they look even odder now that I tried to make them brown but I wanted to see how they looked like so stfu. :(:(:(

(neeways, have any of you ever thought about dye-ing your eyebrows? I think brown would be so flexible)

I even tried on a blonde wig wtf....

I seriously feel I look best in a blonde bob.

But I don't think I'll ever cut my hair this short ever!!

I've had mixed reviews about this hair. Initially I was going to do my hair like this for real, coz I wanted Taylor Swift-ish curls.

Some say I look awesome and some say I look like China prostitue, fml! >_<

So what I can summarize from wearing wigs?? There are some that look so obviously fake. Like my brown hair in the 1st few pictures. Its just too much hair to be real! I look like some cosplay toy.

Wigs are flexible in that you can do whatever you want with them, you can tie it whatever way you want, straighten it, and even wash it like your real hair with shampoo and stuff! Can cheat people wan!!!!!!!

I've pretty much mastered the use of a hairnet which is super useful. I'm definitely gonna try other hairstyles next time ;)
